Sucks. Any more info on the car and the damage?

In a beater you might have hit gold, in a newer car it might never be the same. I know people who have been rear ended in older cars who got a nice insurance cheque for what the car was worth and continued to drive it as is for a couple years before selling it. But I also remember an oppo member with a white WRX who had to fight hard to get somewhat decent bodywork from the insurance appointed shop.

It’s on my Solstice. Insurance said it most likely will be on that guy’s deductible, I have a dashcam footage of me completely stopped at a red light and got jerked forward, so it’s a fairly clean cut case. They offered an approved shop and ask if I want to take it to my own.

Honestly I wouldn’t be so angry if it was on my Bimmer.
